Graduate Certificates
The College of Architecture offers five graduate certificates. Each certificate
covers an interdisciplinary area and programs of study to receive these certificates
are available to all students enrolled in graduate degree programs in the College.
Achievement of a certificate depends upon completion of courses designed to
expose students to a specific body of knowledge. These certificates are offered
through the College research centers in affiliation with Departments.

A certification program providing students in any graduate degree program
at Texas A&M University an opportunity to develop a body of knowledge in
facility management that will further their career goals. The certificate assumes
that facility management is a cross-disciplinary field, and that the program

in the field, and appropriate awareness, understanding, and ability within

Health Systems and Design Certificate
This interdisciplinary certification
program was created by the colleges of Architecture and Medicine to promote
research, innovation, and communication focusing on health facility planning
and design. The program is available to students pursuing any graduate degree

perspective, it also ensures that students develop in-depth understanding and

Historic Preservation Certificate
Certificate in Historic Preservation is
open to students in any graduate degree program at Texas A&M University.

Sustainable Urbanism Certificate
Sustainable Urbanism is an interdisciplinary
program based in the Center for Housing and Urban Development (CHUD) in the
College of Architecture that has been designed to provide students with an
understanding of the interrelationship between the sustainability, cities,
an d the environmental design professions. The Sustainable Urbanism Program
consists of a series of courses that are open to students from any graduate
degree program at Texas A&M University. The Sustainable Urbanism Certificate
is awarded in recognition of those who have acquired a requisite degree of

Transportation Planning Certificate
The Graduate Certificate in
Transportation Planning, offered in partnership with
the Texas A&M College of Architecture, the Texas Transportation Institute,
the Department of Civil Engineering, and the Bush School of Government and Public
Service, provides students with a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary education
and transportation planning. Students completing the Certificate in Transportation
Planning will receive a structured, interdisciplinary understanding of the role
of transportation in contemporary society, as well as specialized instruction
tailored to building individual skills and capabilities in three critical areas:
Multimodal Systems Planning, Transportation and Urban Design, and Transportation
